This site is maintained by the Westinghouse Park 2nd Century Coalition, a group of interested individuals and organizations working to help Pittsburgh identify, develop, and manage the many historical and physical assets of Westinghouse Park, and to sustain and enhance the park and its assets for its second century. In addition to providing on-going stewardship for the park, our three-part mission is:
- To enhance the park’s existing amenities and reputation as a gathering place for adjacent neighborhoods.
- To archeologically explore, document, and present the park’s rich historical bounty.
- To honor the memory of its namesake benefactor, George Westinghouse, whose numerous and extraordinary accomplishments changed Pittsburgh, the region, the country, and the world in myriad and transformational ways.
